Becoming a driving instructor - Driving instructor training course and career information
1 1

So why does our approach work so well?

Most instructor training is based upon the Part-Three pre-set tests (PST's) and spends a lot of time teaching you about lesson content.

The irony is that in reality, you already know this information. You learned it for your success at parts One and Two. This means that a lot of training time is wasted - or even worse. it leaves you confused about things that you thought you knew, for example, how to do basic manoeuvres.

At SmartDriving we believe in 'Life Skill Training'. We recognise that you want to pass the exam but also know that you need more than exam skills to 'cut it' in the 'real world' and to be successful in your new career.

Our unique approach, developed over years of practical experience by John Farlam, concentrates on training skills - enabling you to give a good lesson on any subject (not just the exam subjects), and thus prepare you for a successful career.

Rather than demoralising role-play, you learn to use your existing skills and to develop new ways of thinking through a process of easy, stimulating training games ... These help you to learn naturally without trying to memorise lots of do's and don'ts.

John's rescue courses use the unique methods that have helped his past students gain results as high as 6-6 (Click here) to help you to gain the essential skills of:

  • Identifying errors
  • Analysing errors
  • Talk-through and appropriate control
  • Structured question and answer
  • Lesson planning
  • Effective communication and feedback
  • Correct level of instruction
  • Q&A technique
  • Appropriate intervention

During your training you will not only gain the skills to pass Part-Three, but the confidence and know-how to move forward towards a worthwhile and successful career in driving instruction.

So far you have done your best with the skills and knowledge you currently possess ... That's all you can do, however, if your skill and knowledge is not up to standard, and no one is telling you (except of course, the examiner) it's time for a change.

Your next step ...

You have invested a lot of time, money and emotion into providing a future for yourself and your family, you have hopes and dreams that are in danger of fading ...

Make a wise move now by taking the simple step you need to secure your 'Green Badge'.
