How to save money and reduce your risk ...
Many driving instructor training companies charge hundreds of pounds, anything up to £700, for their ADI Part-One 'courses'. For this you get a series of question papers, a hazard perception DVD and a box of books. More often than not you are then left to get on with it yourself.
Furthermore, there are companies who will sell Part-One as part of a full package - for which you pay up front. If you then decide to pull out for any reason, there are often restrictive refund policies leaving you heavily out of pocket.
SmartDriving Part-One Online is freely available to SmartDriving members. Membership is £14.50 and provides a whole host of benefits and free training materials in addition to the weekly news and training emails.
This means that for just £14.50 you have access to what is probably the best training resource available for driving instructors in the UK.
Now of course you will need to buy some books and a practice DVD for your hazard perception, but these should cost no more than about £100. We do not sell books direct, apart from our own publications, but we do provide you with links to Amazon where you can find all the materials you need - sometimes pre-owned at reduced prices..
By using our Part-One course you will minimise your losses if you decide that instruction is not for you after all. If you carry on the course will boost your chances of success.
The SmartDriving Part-One instructor training foundation course increases your chances of success because it is not like most other courses that simply get you to remember the answers to a string of questions.
Part-One Online promotes deep understanding and learning by using an easy to follow, but in depth training approach, helping you to integrate new knowledge - this makes it easy to remember when you need it most ... Namely the teaching part of your exam (Part-Three).
Part Two Online
Part-Two online can save you literally £100's in driver training fees. We have two examples of students who have passed their DSA Part-Two driving test simply by following this self-study course without spending anything on practical training.
We can also recommend specialist trainers for any extra driver training that you require; independent trainers like Tony (shown on the right) who utilises John Farlam's success based methods.
Part-Two Online is free to all SmartDriving Members.
Maximising your saving
By using the courses above we estimate that you can save up to £1000 or more on Parts One and Two alone. The SmartDriving Member's Area is also one of the best resources (if not the best) for Part-Three information in the UK.
As with Part-Two, we can recommend specialist driving instructor trainers for Part-Three. Although John (Farlam) trains new trainers and runs courses to upgrade the skills of existing trainers he does not offer Part-Three training from scratch (only 'rescue' courses to help those who have struggled elsewhere). You might expect a Part-Three course with a recommended trainer to cost between £1200 and £1800.
Why does SmartDriving give so much away?
The answer to this question is simple. By experiencing the quality of our service we are convinced that you will come back to us later in your driving instruction career.
In a small way, we also want to combat the 'rouge traders' who proliferate the driving instructor training business. You can judge the quality of SmartDriving in this site, the SmartLearners site and the drivers area of the SmartDriving site - there is also a limited free access trial for the Members Area.
Our clients typically remain registered in the Member's Area of the SmartDriving web site and undertake one or two days development training with John Farlam each year - coupled to this John will soon be launching 'Success Seminars' for instructors.
SmartDriving is helping qualified instructors ... And we want to help you!
