SmartDriving was originally set up by John Farlam to provide help and advice to driving instructors. Over the years John, via the SmartDriving project, has helped countless instructors gain higher grades and develop better businesses – in addition he coined the term ‘rescue training’ (which is now widely used throughout the industry) for courses he developed to help those who had problems with their initial qualification or check-tests.
The latest project from SmartDriving is the DriverActive web site for learners due for official launch in early 2011.
The SmartDriving Members area at http://www.smartdriving.co.uk provides regular weekly news and CPD info + recorded training seminars. In 2010 John formed a separate company, SmartDriving Instructor Training, to further develop the brand and make his unique success based programs more widely available – these are now on offer nationwide.
The SmartDriving mission is simple – to provide quality information that can improve both training and business for driving instructors and have a positive ‘knock on’ effect on road safety.
